Mami Mołoniewicz (Hagihara)

Biography

Mami Hagihara was born in Miyagi, Japan. At the age of five, she began classical ballet training under "Maison de ballet Etoile" in Miyagi. During these years, she won a number of ballet awards in Japan, including Finalist in Youth American Grand Prix in Japan, 3rd prize in Contemporary category at NBA All Japan Ballet Competition in Tokyo, Japan. 

At the age of 16, she was accepted at  Elmhurst Ballet School in association with Birmingham Royal Ballet in the UK.  Mami had 3 years of classical ballet training under the mentorship of Lei Zhao, Errol Pickford, Michael Ho. In these years Mami had won twice The Barbara Geoghegan Award Commendation at Cechetti Classical Ballet Competition in London, UK. Finalist in Cechetti International Classical Ballet Competition in Richmond, Virginia, USA. Achieved The London Ballet Association Award at Elmhurst Ballet School. Awarded First Place in 3rd year's Solo competition at Elmhurst Ballet School. During Mami's School training, she had great opportunies to performe with Birmingham Royal Ballet in productions of "The Prince of the Pagodas" (D. Bintley), "The Beauty and the beast" (D. Bintley), "Facade" (F. Ashton).  She danced a number of ballet roles at the Elmhurst, including "Soloist" in The Second Detail (W. Forsythe), "Gypsy Woman" in The Two Pigeons Act 2 (F. Ashton), "Swanilda" in Coppelia Act 3 (M. Petipa). She also danced "Corps" in Raymonda Act 3 (F. Ashton), "Soloist" in Scottish Dance (D. Bintley) with Japanese International Youth Ballet, in Tachikawa Theatre, Tokyo. She has qualifications in The Royal Academy of Dance: Advanced 2 Distinction, Cecchetti: Advanced 1 Distinction. 

After Mami's graduation of Elmhurst Ballet school in UK with "Professional Performing Diploma Level Validated by Trinity College London", Mami joined the ballet company in the J. K. Tyl Theatre in Pilsen, Czech Republic, as member of the corps de ballet in 2016. After five months she got promoted to "Soloist". Since then she has danced a lot of classical, neoclassical and modern roles in the company’s repertoire including "Odetta/Odile" or “Pas de Trois" in Swan Lake (chor. Jiri Horak), "Medora" in Le Corsaire (chor. Jiri Pokorny,) "Lilac Fairy" in Sleeping Beauty (chor. Jiri Horak), “Katherina" in Taming of The Shrew  (chor. Alena Peskova), "Anastasia" in Anastasia (chor. Youri Vamos), "Mathilda" in The Red and The Black (chor. Youri Vamos), "Dying Swan" (chor. Mikhail Fokin), "Nymph" in Afternoon of a Faun (chor. Waclaw Nizynski) and others. Together with J. K. Tyl Theatre she was performing in several theatres in Czech Republic, Germany or Italy. 

In 2018 she guested as a Principal dancer for the "Odette/Odile" in Swan Lake with The North Bohemian Ballet Theatre, and as the "Lilac Fairy" in Sleeping Beauty with The Japanese International Youth Ballet, in Tachikawa Theatre, Tokyo, Japan

She danced in several Ballet Galas. In 2018 she performed "Grand pas de trois" from Le Corsaire in the Pilsen ballet Gala. In 2019 she danced "Mathilda" pas de deux from The Red and The Black (chor. Youri Vamos) at the Ballet Gala of National Moravian Silesian Theatre in Ostrava in Czech Republic. In 2020 she was a part of Pilsen Ballet Gala Live stream, dancing Don Quixote adagio. In 2021 She danced Don Quixote Pas de deux at Pilsen Ballet Gala 2021.
